A student pop-up discussion of R. Lane Clark’s film “Ghana’s Electric Dreams.” Filmmaker R. Lane Clark and producer Stephan Miescher will talk about their new film, which presents a history of the roots and wide-ranging impact of the famed hydroelectric Akosombo Dam, the country’s most ambitious development project. This should be a lively discussion with pizza provided. Part of the Blum Center for Global Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development’sDevelopment Across Time and Place: New Scholarship, Critical Perspectives Series, bringing together scholars from a variety of disciplines to interrogate the history and legacies of development.
