The Blum Center on Poverty, Inequality, and Democracy stands in solidarity with all Asian Pacific Islander DesiAmerican (APIDA) and Asian members of our campus community. We stand against the overt racism, violence and insidious discrimination currently (and historically) faced by our APIDA and Asian students, faculty, and staff, as well as members of these communities across the United States.
Below we highlight campus resources for support and community, as well as ways to support those working against these forms of hate and injustice:
- Asian Resource Center
- Asian Pacific Islander Graduate Student Association (see this link for a statement on the recent hate crime in Georgia by APIGSA and suggested ways to show your solidarity)
- Stop AAPI Hate
- Multicultural Center
- UCSB Campus Community Council
- UCSB Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
For more information on these trends and ways to get involved, see the series of posts attached below.
