Yeweon Kim completed her Ph.D. in Communication in Fall 2023. Her research aims to address individual and collective concerns about information communication technologies (ICTs), specifically the promises and pitfalls of those technologies for interpersonal interaction, information acquisition, and sociopolitical engagement in public life. She seeks to generate policy and practice recommendations on the following areas essential to promoting a thriving digital society: digital civility and ethics; and digital inclusion and empowerment.
