PISJ MINOR ADVISING OPTIONS

Have a question? We're here to advise. Please see below for the array of advising options to assist with the PISJ Minor. We also invite you to join us on social media where we regularly feature Minor announcements, opportunities, and helpful reminders.

Kiara Actis - PISJ Minor Advisor, Course Petitions, & Graduation

Kiara Actis is the Undergraduate Advisor for the History Department. She handles all PISJ Minor course petitions, progress reports, and assistance with ensuring graduation requirements are met. She also provides additional advising support for the Minor and you can contact her with your questions.

Dr. Tristan Partridge - Internship Coordinator & Instructor

Dr. Partridge oversees the internship program and teaches the required HIST 196SJ/GLOBL 196SJ internship course for the PISJ Minor. We recommend contacting Dr. Partridge early, at least 8 to 10 weeks before you enroll in HIST 196SJ/GLOBL 196SJ, to learn about MPISJ internship options and the necessary steps for completing your internship application. Please refer to the internship tab for more information and to access required documents.

Dr. Kashia Arnold - Assistant Director of the Blum Center

Dr. Arnold is the Assistant Director of the Blum Center. She works directly with the Blum Center Director Dr. Alice O'Connor, and UCSB faculty, staff, and students to provide support and improve the PISJ Minor experience. She is always interested in learning about student experiences in the Minor. She also welcomes all non-MPISJ students wanting to participate in Blum Center events and workshops. Please contact her with your questions or to schedule an in-person appointment.
